Tourism Tasmania: Tasmania Game of the Year 2019

As part of the naming rights sponsorship of the Hawthorn Football Club (Hawthorn FC), the Tasmanian Government holds a game-day promotion each year by taking over the President’s Club function, on-ground and concourse promotional activities. We were tasked to provide guests with a quintessentially Tassie experience by bringing to life Tourism Tasmania’s Warmest Winter campaign and inspire fans to consider a Tassie holiday.

Off the pitch, we dressed the function space to resemble a mysterious wintery escape. Guests had an authentic Huon Valley Mid-Winter Festival welcome with theatrical performers, brandy hot toddy drinks on arrival, plenty of whisky, cheese and wine tasting experiences, and an entertaining treasure hunt with Tassie holiday gifts as prizes.

For spectators, our Huon Valley playful characters greeted them out on the concourse with a hygge caravan serving hot Tasmanian elderflower tea.

On the pitch, we worked with Hawthorn FC and Virgin Australia to run the Warmest Hug Cam to give away beautiful Tasmanian Winter Warmer hamper packs, which included flight vouchers from Virgin Australia.
